What Does My HVAC Home Warranty Coverage Include?
American Home Shield® provides air conditioner warranty and heating warranty coverage with all three of our plans. When a breakdown occurs, you'll simply submit a service request, pay your service fee, we'll send a Pro to your home to diagnose the issue.
You are able to select the amount of your service fee when your prucahe your home warranty plan. We give you the option to choose whether you’d rather pay less monthly for the plan or less for service requests. If you ever forget the amount of your service fee, you can simply refer to your plan agreement via MyAccount.
What American Home Shield® HVAC Coverage Includes for HVAC Systems
Air Conditioners:
All parts and components of permanently installed air conditioning systems up to a 5-ton capacity, including condensation line of the following types:
- Ducted central electric split and package units
- Geothermal units
- Evaporative coolers
- Wall air conditioners
- Mini-splits
- If repair or replacement is needed, we'll cover upgrades to maintain compatibility and/or compliance with SEER, HSPF or refrigerant standards
Heating Systems:
All parts and components of permanently installed heating ystems up to a 5-ton capacity for the following types:
- Geothermal units
- Package units
- Heat pumps
- Mini-splits
- Hot water or steam circulating heat
- Electric baseboard
- If repair or replacement is needed, we'll cover upgrades up maintain compatibility and/or compliance with SEER, HSPF or refrigerant standards
